Azalea infrared anti-mould heating panels are specifically designed to help prevent and treat damp walls and mould growth in residential and commercial buildings. Unlike conventional room heaters, Azalea is designed for targeted, continuous or interval heating, typically positioned in the lower third of an affected wall. The low-wattage infrared panel gradually raises the wall surface temperature, helping to drive out moisture and reduce the conditions in which mould thrives.

The panel operates from a standard mains socket and requires no specialist thermostat or control system for basic operation. An external plug-in timer can be used for interval operation once initial drying has been achieved. With an IP44 rating, a slim 500 × 100 × 13mm profile and a low 50W power consumption, Azalea provides a discreet and economical solution for targeted damp and mould treatment.

How It Works

Azalea uses a low-wattage infrared heating plate to raise the temperature of the wall structure surrounding the affected area. When connected to the mains supply, the heating plate reaches an operating surface temperature of approximately 55–75°C within a short warm-up period.

The panel delivers heat through two mechanisms. Radiant infrared heat is emitted from both the front and rear surfaces of the heating plate, directly warming the adjacent wall structure and helping to drive out absorbed moisture. Convective heat also rises naturally from the heating element, warming the air around the unit and reducing the relative humidity immediately around the affected wall surface.

This combination of radiant and convective heating is designed to assist with drying damp patches and partial mould infestations in the wall area immediately accessible to the panel's heat output.
